Doing a Tarot Card Reading on Yourself

There is a debate among the tarot card community as to whether a person can successfully do their own tarot card reading or not. Many people feel as if when a person does their own reading, they will read the cards so that the end result is that in which they desire. It is sort of like a set up in the mind of the reader – though, it may be an unconscious one. Other people feel as if it is quite possible for an individual to read their own tarot card spread just as long as they do it professionally and follow proper procedure. There will always be pros and cons of doing a tarot card reading on yourself. There is no right answer; it is simply right for certain people and not right for others.

Once you have performed this, you can then lay out the spread carefully. It is important that you do not switch or alter the spread in any way whatsoever.

3) Once the spread is done, you will want to record the results that you received. You should then carefully interpret the results based on the actual meanings. Do not try to read into the message that is received from the particular spread that you received. Doing so may cause you to lose vital information that you will need to conclude the purpose of the reading to begin with.

The most important thing to understand when doing your own tarot card reading is that you cannot be biased. You must ensure that you read the tarot cards as you would if you were performing the tarot card reading for someone else.
